The K series from Zildjian is a well established line among many different genres.  These Mastersound hi hats features the deep, dark, warm, low-pitched tonal characteristics associated with K Zildjians with the distinctive and prominent Mastersound "chick" created by crimped edges in the bottom cymbal.  These edges rapidly vent and let loose trapped air for a fast, clean, and clear "chick" sound.
