The Sabian XSR Monarch series is a favorite among drummers who love the earthy, traditional darkness of aged B20. The XSR Sizzler Stack pairs a 16" XSR Monarch Crash with a brilliant 16" XSR China to create a blast of hot air that slices through the busiest stage mix. This cymbal stack is cutting and aggressive, with a short and dry decay when tightened down snuggly with a wing nut. When played loose it gives a very sheet metal sound. Theses cymbals can also be played individually when considering a cymbal line up change.

16" XSR Monarch O-Zone Crash Like all Sabian XSR cymbals, the 16" Monarch O-Zone Crash is fueled by Sabian's centuries-old B20 bronze formulation. But unlike others in the series, XSR Monarch O-Zone Crash features a series of 2" perforations to impart a rawer, faster, more explosive bite to the aged B20's darkly musical attack. This gives the XSR Monarch O-Zone Crash broad applications: played softly, it adds subtle ornamentation with its dark and moody roar. But as it opens up, the XSR O-Zone transitions to an explosive fury characterized by a trashy, china-like penetrative power. This suits the XSR O-Zone Crash to a wide range of musical stylings, in addition to making it an integral part of the XSR Sizzler Stack.
