14" x 5.75" Sonor Vintage Series Snare Drum in White Marine Pearl

It's about time the oldest drum company went back to one of its most adorned drum sets in history, the 50's tear drop. Everything about this drum is stunning blast from the bast - but with a modern twist. The wraps remind us so much of the electric 50's tear drop colors from the past. They are made with a similar 9 ply 6mm beech shells and have reconstructed the old school 50's style "Super 50" strainer. If you are not familiar with Beech wood, it has been used by many top shelf companies in their high end drum lines to deliver pronounced highs and mids with an overwhelming amount of low end punch. The vintage style bearing edges enhances the stick attack and coupled with the rounded in drum hoops, cuts down the sustain and overtones for a dry but throaty sound.
