The 8 lug black beauty has been requested for years by drummers to be reissued. There is a strong feeling amongst collectors and drummers alike the 8 lug version of these drums is superior in sound to the ten lug versions. One of the beliefs is that the less hardware on the shell the more it can resonate correctly without being choked down. We at the shop do not disagree, these sound great!
